Founded in 1993 by Thierry Germain, originally from Bordeaux, Domaine des Roches Neuves is located in the heart of Saumur-Champigny and has become an emblem of mineral-driven Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc. Since 2000, the domaine has worked biodynamically, certified by Biodyvin, with more than 28 hectares of vineyards planted on tuffeau (chalk) and limestone-rich sandy soils.

Germain’s style favors freshness and elegance over extraction, with natural fermentations and moderate use of oak. Among his most notable cuvées are Les Mémoires, Clos de l’Échelier, La Marginale, Clos Romans, and L’Insolite, wines that clearly express the potential of the central Loire.
