FAMILLE PERRIN

/Region/ Southern Rhône Valley – Châteauneuf-du-Pape and other Rhône appellations  /Varieties/ The 13 authorized varieties in Châteauneuf-du-Pape (with an emphasis on Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah) and other Rhône grapes          /Founded/1909 (purchase of Château de Beaucastel by Pierre Tramier; developed by the Perrin family)

The story of Famille Perrin begins in the Southern Rhône with Château de Beaucastel, acquired in 1909. Pierre Tramier, then his son-in-law Pierre Perrin, followed by Jacques Perrin, expanded the vineyard and established it as one of the great names of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Today the fifth generation (Marc, Pierre, Thomas and family) oversees more than 100 hectares of vineyards at Beaucastel and other Rhône projects. Pioneers of organic farming since 1950 and biodynamics since 1974, the Perrins work with all 13 authorized Châteauneuf-du-Pape varieties, crafting wines that unite concentration, Mediterranean freshness, and a strong galets roulés character.

Under the Famille Perrin umbrella—beyond Beaucastel—are labels such as Clos des Tourelles, Les Crus Famille Perrin, La Vieille Ferme, Miraval and Tablas Creek, rounding out a comprehensive Rhône vision rooted in family and terroir.
